1st Choice Healthcare’s Family Medical Center in Corning celebrated their 20 year Anniversary in March 2014.  Ms. Brigitte McDonald, CEO, welcomed guests and spoke about the growth of the facility since its opening in March 1994.    Senator Robert Thompson and Mayor Dewayne Phelan both addressed the crowd  stating the importance of the clinic emphasizing how the clinics are here to serve everyone. 

When the clinic first opened, there were 2 physicians.  1st Choice Healthcare has grown into 4 counties with 10 physicians (which include specialty care of OBGYN and Pediatrics), 6 Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, and 95 employees.    The Pocahontas clinic opened in 2000 and Walnut Ridge opened in 2005.  1st Choice Healthcare just recently opened their Ash Flat clinic in March 2014.  

Following opening ceremonies, the guests were able to participate in many health fair events.  Hamburgers, hot dogs, cake and punch were also served.
